Kevin Michael Reed is a fashion & beauty photographer and film & video director based in New York City and Los Angeles. Kevin found the camera while growing up on the stage as an actor and dancer. His performing arts abilities won many national awards. His passion for lighting and directing came to the forefront after a car accident left him unable to perform for over a year. Directly out of high school, Kevin worked for McMillen Advertising Corporation. He immediately moved up the corporate ladder from lead generator supporting the account executives to Account Executive within his first year of employment. Upon leaving MAC, he worked as a National Media Specialist at VentureDirect Worldwide, a New York City based direct marketing firm. Kevin believes that his advertising background helps him create images that appeal to the target market of his clients to effectively sell products and lifestyles. In 1999, Kevin left the corporate world to pursue his love of photography full-time. Kevin has graduated from Mid-Florida Technical Insitute’s Commercial Photography Program. He has also studied fashion & commercial photography at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology where he has earned an A.A.S. in Photography. He is a member of American Society of Media Photographers, as well as Professional Photographers of America and American Photographic Artists. Kevin won two Gold awards and the cover of the Graphis Photography Annual in 2009 and most recently received the honor as one of the 100 Best in Photography 2011 by Graphis. He speaks regularly at seminars at the Fashion Insitute of Technology and industry events; In 2010, he formed a new photographers’ education company called “Passion of Photography, Inc” which is dedicated to encouranging, motivating and training photographers to succeed in the business of photography. From 2004 - 2006, Kevin worked for TvTaxi, Inc producing and directing for television and commercials. Kevin’s clients have included Bron Imaging Group, Terani Couture, Jasz Couture, The Cool Book, Supermodels Unlimited Magazine, Salons Unlimited Magazine, i.b.b.i. Collection, Aura Fashions, Wrecords Fashions, Gambino Apparel Group, Innotech Systems, McMillen Advertising Corporation, W25 Magazine, Dimension Magazine, and others.
