| Jeff Fogarty is the Post Production Manager and Lead Retoucher at The KMR Group, Inc. Jeff comes to New York City via California, Michigan and Massachusetts. His diverse background in the visual arts began when he was in High School and first picked up a 35mm camera on a class trip to New York City. As he describes his favorite shot from the camera (which he didn’t even know how to load film into), “It’s just a simple shot of Ellis Island, but it was one of those shots that everyone has told me should be a post card. I still look at that shot once a year and remember how I felt in that moment, a feeling that has brought me to where I am today.” Jeff’s keen understanding of lighting comes from his background as a lighting programmer and electrician for theatre where he has worked with TONY award winning lighting designers. After 10 years in theatre, that photo of Ellis Island still haunted him and brought him to Santa Barbara, California where he studied Photography and Digital Post Production at the Brooks Institute of Photography. In January of 2010, Jeff set his sights on making the big leap to New York City. Since joining The KMR Group, Jeff has become an integral part of our pre-production team, as well. By bringing post production in on our pre-production and concept meetings we’re able to explore new ways to bring images from concept to delivery and continue to be innovative in the imagery we provide to our clients.
